Support our mission by contributing to one of our initiatives.

At the Black Night Market, we’re more than an event — we are a movement rooted in community, equity, and cultural celebration. Our mission is to create powerful spaces where Black and BIPOC creatives, entrepreneurs, and visionaries can thrive. From food vendors and artists to youth interns and performers, we are committed to breaking down barriers, building economic opportunity, and amplifying unheard voices across the Puget Sound.

But access isn't equal. Many talented vendors and artists face systemic challenges — from unaffordable permit fees to unpaid stages and lack of visibility. That’s why we launched three intentional funding initiatives:

  • Back a Business Fund: Helping BIPOC-owned businesses afford vendor fees so they can showcase their work and grow their reach.

  • Amplify Black Arts Fund: Ensuring Black performers, poets, musicians, and youth artists are compensated fairly and given a platform.

  • Soul Food Access Fund: Covering health department permit fees for food vendors to make soul food and cultural cuisine more accessible at our festivals.

Each donation directly supports real people — a young poet paid for her first performance, a food entrepreneur breaking into their first major event, or a vendor finally able to afford exposure in a growing market.

We believe in an economy where our community eats, thrives, earns, and shines together. When you give, you're not just donating — you’re investing in Black futures, cultural equity, and generational change.

Join us in creating a community where everyone has a seat at the table.

BNM Giving Initiatives

  • Food Justice & Business Equity
Highlights support for Black food entrepreneurs and removing systemic barriers like TPCHD permit fees.

This fund helps eliminate barriers for Black and BIPOC-owned food businesses by covering the high costs of Health Department permit fees required to participate in the Soul Food Festival. These fees often prevent amazing small food vendors from joining large-scale events, limiting their exposure and opportunity.

By donating, you’re helping us ensure that our community experiences a powerful and diverse lineup of soul food, Caribbean, African, vegan, Trinidadian, Jamaican, Creole, Polynesian, Asian and Southern flavors — all while uplifting local and regional Black-owned businesses from across the Puget Sound.

This support not only brings more delicious food to the festival but also increases visibility, access, and income for entrepreneurs who deserve a seat at the table.

Let’s break the barriers so the culture can eat — together.

Permits are $350 / vendor with the TPCHD.

  • Entrepreneurship & Community Wealth Building

By donating, you’re removing financial barriers and giving entrepreneurs a platform to grow their brand, reach new customers, and generate income.

Your support fuels economic empowerment and keeps culture-rich, community-rooted businesses thriving.

You can choose the business to sponsor or donate to the general fund, and we will give the spot to anyone of our vendors in need.

Vendor fees cost $145 per vendor to adopt or sponsor a vendor you must pay the total cost for their booth.

  • Arts, Culture & Creative Expression
Focuses on investing in Black performers, musicians, and cultural storytellers.

We believe that Black artists deserve to be seen, heard, and fairly compensated — regardless of age, experience, or discipline. The Amplify Black Arts Fund exists to ensure that every performer who graces the Black Night Market stage is paid for their time, talent, and energy.

This fund directly supports the contracting and booking of Black poets, musicians, singers, DJs, youth groups, dance teams, and cultural organizations across the Puget Sound. By donating, you’re helping us create an intentional platform that celebrates Black creativity while practicing economic equity in the arts.

Your contribution amplifies more than just a performance — it honors the labor, legacy, and brilliance of Black storytelling through sound, movement, and voice.

    Performance fees start at $160-1,000.
